UPDATE: March 20th, 2020
Category : Events
Dear Church Family,
The Elders have made the official decision to pause public services for the foreseeable future. We are doing so for the health and safety of our congregation, as well as to follow the Lord’s mandate in Romans 13 to respect and obey the governing authorities that the Lord has placed over us. President Trump recently announced the following:
“We’d much rather be ahead of the curve than behind it. Therefore, my administration is recommending that all Americans, including the young and healthy, avoid gathering in groups of more than 10 people, avoid discretionary travel and avoid eating and drinking at bars, restaurants and public food courts.”
Also, after speaking with Eastford Selectman, Jackie Dubois, as well as Deb Richards, Eastford Emergency Protection leader, who have strongly urged the same, we thus decided to make this decision. They have also both expressed their great appreciate for our cooperation and help as a church throughout this entire crisis, both with complying with the prohibitions, as well as for the toilet paper and soap drive that we held. It was a great help to community, and a great witness to the love of Jesus Christ.
Thus, because it was such a great blessing, we will be hosting another drive to help the Town of Eastford this week. This time, along with toilet paper and soap, we are asking for cleaning supplies, such as bleach, Clorox wipes, toilet bowl cleaner, etc. The town is also asking for donations of dog food as this has been in short supply as well. You can drop these items off in the foyer of the church Sunday-Friday, March 22nd-27th. Sunday, from 11-8pm, Mon-Thursday, 8am-8pm, and Friday, 8am-11am.
As we did last Sunday, we will be holding an online service through Facebook Live. If you do not have Facebook, the recording will be posted on the church website and Sermon Audio for you to watch at your convenience. However, I would strongly encourage you that if you have Facebook to please make every effort to join us at that time.
We will also be hosting another Online Prayer Meeting through Zoom this Wednesday, March 25th at 7:00pm. This time, we will have the option of calling into the prayer meeting through phone for those who would prefer not to use a webcam.
It is very important that God’s people “assemble” (Hebrews 10:25), even if it is online. Satan’s greatest desire is that you would backslide spiritually, and getting out of the habit of coming together with your church family can help lead to that. So make every effort to take part in these online ministries.
Please also remember to support the church financially as the Lord leads. You can do so online at the following web address:
You can also mail your offering in to our physical address at:

The Elders and I are also very excited to begin planning what we are calling “Homecoming Sunday”. When the prohibition is lifted, and we are allowed to meet publicly again, that Sunday we plan on having a very special celebration service, filled with a great time of singing, sharing, praying, a time in the Word, in order to praise Him for what He has done through this whole Coronavirus situation. We are looking forward to reuniting with you during our “homecoming” as a church family as soon as the Lord allows it.
As I have said from the beginning, I am available for you throughout this entire situation, as are our Elders and our Deacons. If you or someone you know has any needs that the church can help with, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Above all, may we continue to trust in our great God (Proverbs 3:5) and glorify Him (1st Corinthians 10:31) throughout this whole situation.
Grace and peace,
