COVID-19 Update: March 16th, 2020

Category : Events

Dear EBC Family,

Due to the continued concerns regarding the COVID-19 virus, we are canceling all Wednesday activities this week , March 18th, 2020 (Olympians, Teen Club, Ladies Bible Study, Prayer Meeting).

I will, however, be hosting an online video prayer meeting tomorrow night at 7:00pm. I will send out more information on that later today.

Also, with much regret, we are canceling our Missions Conference that was scheduled for March 28-29th. This reminds us to take the time to pray for our missionaries overseas, many of whom are just as, if not more so, affected by this virus than we are.

We are still continuing to collect toilet paper and soap for the Eastford Food Pantry, so please be sure stop by the church and drop off your items today until 8pm, or tomorrow morning between 8am-11am.

Finally, please continue to uplift our church family, our state, our nation, and our entire world in your prayers, that the Lord would bring healing from this virus; that He would bring some semblance of normalcy to our lives soon; for those who are struggling due to income loss; and most importantly, that God would use this for the furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in order to see many come to know Him!

Practically speaking, be sure to be checking in on one another each day to see if their are any needs or ways that we can serve each other. Thank you to everyone who has been checking in on me and my family. If there are any needs that myself, the Elders or the Deacons can help with, please let us know as soon as possible.     Again, be sure to keep your eyes on your emails, social media, and the church website for updates.

Thank you all so much for your understanding, patience, and support. This is a very abnormal situation that necessitates much divine wisdom, and so, the Elders and I covet your prayers as we continue to seek God’s will day by day in making the best decisions that will honor our church family, neighbors, and ultimately our great God.

Grace and peace,

Pastor
