Reverb: The WOL Reverb is this Friday, November 17th. The Teens will be leaving from the Eastford School at 4:30 P.M. to go to Providence, and will be returning at 7:00 A.M. The cost is $60 up until November 15th. Please see Steve Bowen for questions or more information.
Teen Announcement: Teen parents and teens, this Wednesday, November 15th, is our monthly offering for the Childvoice mother and child that Teen Club helps support. Please come prepared to help with this very worthy cause
Pies Needed: We would like to have a time of fellowship with some pies after the Thanksgiving Eve Service. If you would be willing to bring a pie to share, there is a signup sheet in the foyer. Please sign up or contact Katie Haney to let her know.
Shoeboxes: We are collecting the shoeboxes for the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. There is a table set up in the foyer where you can bring the shoeboxes. Please have them packed and wrapped when you bring them to church. Boxes will be due by this Tuesday, November 14th.
Women’s Event: On Saturday, November 25th, the women’s ministry will be hosting a make your own sign party. All women, ages 16 and up are welcome to spend the afternoon, bring a friend or visiting family member and create a special Christmas gift or Christmas decoration. There are over 50 different signs to choose from. Everyone must preregister by November 22nd and pay the $30 fee by going to Snacks will be provided.
Senior Saints Christmas Party: The Senior Saints will be having their annual Christmas Party on Saturday, December 9th at 1:00 P.M. It will be held at Effie’s home at 260 Old Colony Rd in Eastford. This will be a potluck lunch, so please sign up in the foyer to indicate what you plan to bring. There will also be a Yankee swap so please find something from your house to bring. Nursing Home Ministry: Are you interested in ministering to our Senior Saints who are shut-in at the nursing home? If so, sign up in the foyer to express your interest. This ministry will be a tremendous blessing to those who desire to worship with us but cannot. Be sure to check it out!
Thanksgiving Eve Service: On Wednesday, November 22nd at 7:00pm in the sanctuary we will be holding our annual Thanksgiving Eve Praise Service. This is a very special service wherein we have an opportunity to share what we are thankful for, giving glory to our great God for all of it! Our tradition is to have everyone bring something that represents what they are thankful for to share with everyone. It could be a picture, a poem, or an item that really means a lot to you. Whatever it is, if it reminds you to be thankful, be sure to bring it to show off as a testimony to everyone!
Thanksgiving: If you are looking for other people to join for Thanksgiving, consider going to Nickerson Campground for dinner. Meal served at 1:00 P.M., but feel free to drop by if you can’t make it for the meal. RSVP Chris Nickerson by e-mail:
Hurricane Relief Offering: EBC will be accepting special offerings thru Thanksgiving, to go to the ministry Samaritan’s Purse to help with the relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. Please be sure to note this as you turn in your offering on Sundays. Be sure to also continue praying for the victims and those who will be assisting.
Live Nativity: The live Nativity will be at the Eastford School on Saturday, December 9th at 6:00 P.M. Please come out to see this very special event and bring neighbors and friends. Parsonage Open House: Pastor Tim and Sarah will be opening their house again on Sunday, December 17th from 4-8 P.M. Please come out to fellowship with your church family, and bring a dish to share.
